v3.2 calibration drift after firmware update — anyone else?

Updated to v3.2 three nights ago. Since then, the device has been cueing roughly six to eight minutes earlier in the REM window than my previous baseline.

I've been running this protocol for eleven weeks with a very consistent baseline — cues typically logged between 3:35 and 3:50 AM, corresponding to what I estimate is my third REM cycle. Post-update, the cues are hitting closer to 3:25–3:35.

The earlier window is shallower for me. I'm getting more arousal events and fewer integration logs. Night before last I woke fully twice from cues that previously would have integrated or passed unnoticed.

Logs attached. No hardware changes. Same strap tension, same positioning, same sleep window (00:45–07:00). Firmware is the only variable.

Before I roll back to v3.1.4, I want to know if anyone else is seeing this. The v3.2 release notes mention improved REM classifier accuracy — possible the new model has a different sensitivity profile that's interacting with my signal in an unexpected way.

Not seeing the same drift, but my baseline is more variable than yours so I might not notice a six-minute shift. What does your rem_confidence_threshold show? If the new classifier has genuinely higher sensitivity, the threshold that kept you in the shallow-rejection zone before might now be classifying earlier windows as valid.

Try raising rem_confidence_threshold by 5 points and running for three nights before rolling back. If the drift is classifier-related, this should compensate.

I had something similar in the first week after updating but it resolved by night ten. My read: the classifier update changed the sensitivity profile slightly, and the adaptive algorithm needed a few nights to re-converge to my personal threshold. Did you let the adaptive algorithm run or did you lock the intensity?

Update: DeltaSigma's suggestion worked. Raised threshold by 5, ran four nights, drift resolved. The new classifier is more sensitive and my old threshold was too low for it. Staying on v3.2.

Worth documenting this for anyone else who updates and sees earlier cueing — check rem_confidence_threshold before rolling back.
